Aged Grey timber treatments are becoming very popular, particularly on Cedar and Larch cladding projects. As with everything in life, there's a wide choice available to suit all budgets. The current market leader is no doubt the Sioo:x treatment system Sioo Wood Protection AB which changes the substrates shade over several months (see image). It's certainly not cheap, but then again anything of quality isn't given away cheaply. Other treatments and alternative solutions are available from the likes of Teknos Teknos GBI with their #PentoSilverwood, Anker Stuy Verven Ankolux wood stains, Remmers BV aged grey selections, Rubio Monocoat with a wide variety of grey and metallic shades, #osmo washes and stains, AkzoNobel Industrial Coatings UK Ltd, Wood Coatings & Adhesives Cetol WF771, to name just a few. The good news for you, the consumer, clients, customers, specifiers etc, is that you retain the choice of what you want - we can advise and point you in a certain direction, but we'll listen to what you, the customer wants.
